STUTTGART – automotive industry meets architectural masterpieces

Internationally known as the automotive stronghold, the city of Stuttgart is a meeting place for innovation and history. Magnificent castles and churches as well as modern buildings define the appearance of the Swabian capital.

As the world’s oldest automobile factory, Stuttgart’s image is shaped by the major automobile manufacturers based here. But the city also has a lot to offer culturally. Impressive buildings, such as the Baroque Ludwigsburg Residence Castle, the Old Palace in the middle of the city centre and the New Palace, in which state ministries are located, leave the observer astonished.

Stuttgart’s museum landscape is diverse. The Mercedes-Benz World, Porsche Museum and the Gottlieb Daimler Memorial take up the theme of the automobile, while life-size dinosaurs can be admired in the State Museum of Natural History. The State Gallery and the Art Museum show impressive works of art. Stuttgart offers an exciting and varied mix for all those interested in art and technology.
