The museum in the Amtsschüpfla is a cultural-historical museum. It is housed in a building that dates back to the 13th century and is located in the former entrance to the former monastery, later it was the outbuilding to the opposite Amtshaus (former Prioress house). The bearer is the Heimat- und Geschichtsverein Erlangen e.V. (HGV). The museum was founded in 1982.
