Luisenhütte Balve-Wocklum

Founded in 1748 and shut down in 1865, Luisenhütte has been a monument of national importance since 2004. Unique for Germany is a blast furnace with an environment of hydropower and charcoal. Today the Luisenhütte is a modern visitor-oriented experience museum. The museum shows how iron was produced and further processed into castings.
