Fürst-Pückler-Museum Park und Schloss Branitz

Cottbus

The castle, built in 1770, shows authentically the living and working areas of Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau, which he lived after 1846. When he was more than 60 years old, he set up a landscaped park in English style. For his "masterpiece" he transformed the "desert" of the old possession Branitz into an "oasis". The highlight of the park are two earth pyramids, one of which became its tomb.
