August-Gottschalk-Haus

Esens

The Jewish Museum - memorial site and exhibition on the recent history of the East Frisian Jews - has found a good place in the former parish house of the Jews of Esen, next to the remains of the synagogue destroyed by the Nazis in 1938. In addition to historical documentaries, objects relating to religious life and life stories are shown. A special feature is the received Mikwe.
